We're passionate about the Bracco Italiano and consider it to be a very special breed indeed.  In that respect, we're all dedicated to ensuring its continuing development in all aspects i.e. health, confirmation, working ability and temperament.

Our membership continues to grow steadily and our aim is to create a friendly and informal group for everyone who’s interested in this wonderful breed.  We're independent of the Kennel Club which means we're not bogged down with all the red tape/expense that goes along with being affiliated but we do adopt best practice in relation to our Code of Ethics.  All our funds are used for the benefit of our members and their dogs and for the betterment of the breed in general. 

You may already own a Bracco Italiano and want to learn more;  you may be thinking of buying a puppy - either now or in the future – or you may  just have a special place in your heart for this most ancient of gundogs.  Whatever your reasons/interest, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We hope you’ll join us and become a "Friend" to make our new group a success –  for our "Friends" – but especially for the dogs we love!!!  

Our membership is open to all - in the UK and internationally.  In fact, we welcome "Friends" from all over the world who have a passion for this wonderful breed!  Details on how to become a "Friend of the Bracco Italiano" are on our website, but please feel free to get in touch for a chat if you’d like to know more!

We've designed our website to reflect the ancient Italian origins of this magnificent gundog while, at the same time, making it as user-friendly as possible. There are two ways to navigate the site; you can either click on the menu and a list of highlighted topics will appear for you to read - or - you can scroll over the menu heading and a box will appear with a list of topics for you to browse!  By clicking on the topic you'll be taken directly to that page.  You can then either return to the top of the page or go back to the list of topics!  Easy peasy!!!!!

As a group, we're also aware of the impact that the use of excess paper has on the environment, so we decided to try and make our friendly club as "paperless" as possible in an attempt to lower our carbon footprint. This will also have the added benefit of making our club much less expensive to administer which, in turn, means we can use the money for the benefit of our Friends and their dogs!   

We’re currently in the process of planning 4 events for this year (2010) - one of which will be a weekend get-together with various activities for all to enjoy! Our first informal get-together was on 26th September 2009 in North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland.  A great time was had by all!!!!  Keep an eye on our News Section for up to date information.

Our friends will also receive our quarterly e-newsletter "Trot Gossip" to keep you up to date with what’s happening in the wonderful world of the Bracco!!  So, anybody out there with a story to tell or some useful hints and tips, or funny pics, please get in touch.  Remember, this is your club and we want all our Friends to become involved in the way that it's operated!
